SOLD OUT: Foundations of Integral Sound Healing Course

(Sound Healing Academy (SHA - Level 1)

29th Feb - 1st March, and 7th - 8th March 2020, 10am-5pm.

SOUND HEALING has been used throughout history and in indigenous cultures to restore, heal, and transform the body, mind, and spirit. Ritual and rites of passage, healing, meditation, spiritual practice, parents soothing their children with voice and song - all utilize the power of sound. Sound healing offers deep relaxation and rejuvenation as well as deeper work on cellular, emotional and spiritual levels. Sacred instruments and a positive intention to heal brings on profound results. The science of sound healing is based in physics in that all things in our world are in a constant state of vibration. Our bodies are made of approximately 70% - 80% water, and are wonderful carriers for sound vibrations. We hear not only through our ears, but also through our skin. Every cell has receptors to pick up vibration, thus, frequency and sound have a very deep impact on our bodies. Sound healing uses the principles of resonance and entrainment, using instruments to firstly match the client's state, and then slowly entrain' the body, mind, soul and spirit back to a state of optimum health. The sound frequencies of the instruments played induce the alpha and theta brainwave states associated with deep meditation, and in this state deep healing and relaxation can take place.
