Imbolc Fire Ritual: Spring Celebration. Sat 1st Feb, 6-9pm

£20.00Price

Aho Brothers and Sisters. Join us at Berkeley Farm to mark the beginning of Spring with a fire ritual and celebration. Imbolc is the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox that signifies the early signs of spring and the awakening of the earth from its winter slumber.

Imbolc is strongly associated with the Celtic Goddess Brighid. She is a goddess of fire. At this time of the year she is the light that warms the soil and brings it to life; she is also the purifying and transformative flame that burns away all that no longer serves us and keeps us chained to the past. She is a matron of midwifery and as such is connected not only with physical birth but with helping us to birth new ways to be. When we are stuck and stagnant, her fiery energy brings movement – she is the rekindling; that glorious moment when we feel the life and hope within us returning. Our Imbolc ritual offer's up the recent past to Brighid’s healing fire, handing it over to her with trust and faith that nothing is truly lost but merely transformed into something new.

Presented by Renato Guerrero and Daren Ellis.
We will share a space of celebration with song, sounds and a sacred space and ask ourselves what new potential lies in the new growth cycle to come and what do we wish to set in motion and begin by making offering's to the sacred fire, where we set our intentions for the cycles ahead.
