Aho is honoured to announce a weekend of prayer and connection hosted by our dear brother, Joseph Cristlow on Berkeley Farm in Hainault. Attend either, Saturday 10th or Sunday 11th, Oct, 10am-5pm, as individual Inipi ceremonies or the whole weekend, both Inipi ceremonies including camping or sharing the tipi and with meals provided.

Following on from our first Inipi with Joseph in the Spring of this year this weekend coincides with a New Moon in Libra and invites us to set intentions around the themes of ideas, communication and community and catalyzes the areas of life connected to relationships, beauty, and balance as we give thanks to the Summer and welcome in the Autumn.

The Inípi ceremony is a purification ceremony of the Lakota Nation. Also referred to in these times as a sweatlodge that is guided with Lakota songs and prayers. This ceremony is ancient and one of re-birth. Only those who walk the red road (chankuluta) spiritual path of the Lakota can run this ceremony with the proper instructions and guidance of elders.

Joseph ‘Rising Sun’ Christlow who is running the ceremony has been on the hill for 4 years vision quest ceremony (Hamblechà yapí), he has been Sun dancing (chí wakan tree of life sun dance ceremony) for 11 years, he is a family man and a community leader. Choosing to direct his energy in these time to share these ancient practises with the people of his homeland.

The location for the Sweat is Berkeley Farm, Manor Rd, Lambourne End in Hainault on the central line. Closest tube is Grange Hill or Hainault. The farm is set in beautiful acres of field, with horses and wild flowers. The farm is a rustic haven, just a few stops from the city. Parking for cars and campervans onsite is available.
