Samhain Bonfire, Mulled Wine and Music. Fri 31st Oct. 7-9.30pm on Berkeley Farm
Aho Brothers and Sisters. Join us as we mark the turning of the season with a bonfire, mulled wine and music at Berkeley Farm on the night of Samhain.
Samhain (pronounced sah-win), is a sabbat marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. The veil between worlds is at its thinnest and we begin our descent into the darkest part of the year.
Fires were traditionally lit at Samhain and it is thought that all other fires were extinguished and people lit their hearth fires from the new “pure” fire . There would be much symbology attached to this - to mark the passing into Winter, to burn the old away and welcome the new.
With medicine song, celebration, drumming and chanting. If you have a drum or rattle, please bring them along.
Only £15. To book your place via https://www.aho.community/
The location is Berkeley Farm, Lambourne End, RM4 1NH. Closest stations are Hainault or Grange Hill on the Central line. Parking is also available for those that will be driving.
